Charlemagne is the principle musical outlet of American artist/musician Carl Johns. Since forming in 2004 Charlemagne has released three albums, a score of singles and compilation appearances, and performed throughout North America, Europe and Australia. Throughout its history the band's lineup has been an ever changing one ranging from Johns solo to an ensemble of up to twelve players. Regardless of lineup however, pop hooks, melodies, and harmonies have always been staple of the Charlemagne sound, oft earning comparisons to the dirty pop stylings of The Go Betweens, The Vaselines, and Daniel Johnston. The current band, which consists of Johns and Australian singer/multi-instrumentalist Emily Farrell, recently released a new single and video called "4-Ever"

"4-Ever" was recorded in Butch Vig's legendary Smart Studios, best known as the spot where Nirvana's Nevermind was made. Smart unfortunately closed its doors shortly after "4-Ever" was recorded. The video for "4-Ever," Johns' first self-made music video, was shot at New York's Coney Island amusement park and in Berlin. Incidentally Coney Island's historic Astroland, which is featured prominently in the song and video, was shut down shortly after the video was shot. The great places where "4-Ever" was made no longer exist. Nevertheless, the beat goes on. "4-Ever" is Charlemagne's gift to the world for Summer 2010. Long live the legends, and lets celebrate the now!

The White Noise Supremacists is Iféoluwa Babalola. Of Nigerian/Sierra Leonean parentage, raised in Brooklyn, NY, she was exposed to many different types of music at a young age. From her parents, she gained exposure to African artists as diverse as Sade, King Sunny Ade, Youssou N'dour and Angelique Kidjo. Her father was also a fan of Barry White, Gloria Estefan and Fleetwood Mac. Her mother, a childhood Beatles fan, provided her first exposure to British rock. And of course, growing up in the 80s and 90s in Brooklyn, she was a huge fan of hip-hop and contemporary R&B.
As a teenager she kept journals filled with poems and prose and after receiving her first guitar - an acoustic she got as a birthday gift- she began experimenting with putting music to the words. These first acoustic songs eventually evolved into The White Noise Supremacists, a mix of African rhythms, pop melodies, soulful vocals and sometimes razor sharp, sometimes swirling guitars. After self releasing her 1st EP in 2006 on her own I EAT SOULS imprint, she set out touring the west coast and south of the U.S. as well as playing frequently in the NYC area. Over the years since the EP's release, however, she became weary and disinterested in the elitism, superficiality and creative cannibalism/regurgitation present in the NYC rock scene. She needed a break and wanted to test the waters with her music overseas. On a whim, she moved to Berlin, Germany and began playing shows within her first week of arrival.
In Nov. '09, she played the popular NBI club in Berlin and is currently preparing to enter the studio and record songs for The White Noise Supremacists' debut album entitled "THE SCENE IS DEAD". The lead single "BIG STRONG WHITE MAN" was produced by herself and recorded by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Skin of Skunk Anansie, Regina Spektor). The album is set for release on I EAT SOULS in Fall 2010. Subsequent tours of Germany and the U.S will follow.

"L.A. native Giovanni Marks A.K.A. Subtitle often takes his music to terrains that others don't. His sound can't be classified by one album, song, verse or instrumental, since the description won't do justice to the classification of the next album, song, verse or instrumental. Often times classified under "nerd-rap" due to the lack of understanding in regards to his musical background, Subtitle's music instantaneously explores multiple genres, as well as ideas, cultures, principles and sometimes even languages!"
